Turquoise Yachts launches 88m flagship Vento project

Turquoise unveils 87.7m flagship Vento, Turkey’s largest

Turquoise Yachts has launched its new 87.7-metre flagship, Vento, marking the shipyard’s largest build to date in both length and gross tonnage. At 2,550GT, Vento surpasses Turquoise’s previous flagship, the 79-metre Nympheas (delivered last year), by almost 10 metres and 404GT, establishing Vento as the largest yacht by volume ever built in Turkey.

The steel-hulled, aluminium-superstructure new build was launched from the yard’s Pendik outfitting facilities after being sighted en route to outfitting in 2023. Delivery to the owner is scheduled for this year, after which the yacht—to be renamed Angelique for charter—will be marketed exclusively by Edmiston for Mediterranean charters from €1,200,000 per week.

H2 Yacht Design styling, wellness and entertainment features

Exterior and interior design for Vento come from H2 Yacht Design, continuing a long-standing collaboration with Turquoise that spans 12 projects over 17 years. The exterior is characterised by soft lines, angled grilles and a distinctive “Tour de France” blue hull, while the interior follows H2’s refined Art Deco approach, with curved details, rich materials, blue accents and bespoke glamorous detailing tailored to the owner’s brief.

Wellness and entertainment are major programme drivers. Vento houses a full spa with hammam and sauna, a panoramic bridge-deck gym and a glass-surround 6.5-metre swimming pool with contra-flow on the main deck, plus two Jacuzzis. Entertainment provisions include DJ facilities throughout, a golf simulator, a touch-and-go helipad that converts to a basketball court, an outdoor cinema and a large sundeck with teppanyaki and barbecue grills, bar and sunpads.

Construction, dimensions and delivered features of Vento

The yacht’s principal dimensions are 87.7 metres overall, a 13.2-metre beam and a 3.7-metre draught, with an internal volume of 2,550GT. Accommodation is arranged for 12 guests in seven flexible cabins: a forward owner’s suite on a private deck (with private TV lounge, his-and-hers dressing rooms, office and elevated breakfast table), two VIPs that can convert into a Super VIP, three doubles and one convertible. Crew accommodation sleeps 27 and a lift serves all decks.

Key delivered features emphasise beach-club access and tender operations: one of the largest beach clubs in its class includes a drive-in tender docking system, fold-down terraces and pool skylight illumination. Public spaces also include a main saloon with a statement bar, circular seating and a formal dining table for 16, a central open staircase-cum-atrium featuring a suspended Dale Chihuly sculpture, and a large complement of tenders and water toys.

Vento’s impact on Turkish shipbuilding and future orders

As the largest yacht by volume built in Turkey, Vento represents a milestone for Turquoise Yachts and for the country’s superyacht industry, demonstrating the yard’s capacity for high-volume, complex projects. Turquoise’s CEO described the project as the culmination of more than 30 years of heritage and a reflection of the team’s collective expertise, with thanks extended to partner organisations involved in the build and outfitting.

Turquoise currently has five yachts on order or under construction and recently revealed the in-build 81.3-metre project Rafale (also designed by H2) at the Monaco Yacht Show. Vento’s imminent delivery, followed by its summer charter season, will be a visible test of the yard’s production-to-market pipeline and should inform client interest in the yard’s forthcoming projects.
