Introducing Miouch: Numarine’s New 40MXP Flagship

Numarine has launched its latest addition to the explorer series, the 40MXP, with the first unit named Miouch. This 39.11-meter vessel has been introduced at the Numarine Gebze facility and is now set to undergo sea trials. The 40MXP, which stands for Mediterranean Explorer, is designed not just for exploration but also to embody the beach-club lifestyle synonymous with Mediterranean cruising.

Ömer Malaz, Chairman of Numarine, highlights that the 40MXP maintains the brand’s signature features: high volume, low maintenance, and long range. A standout feature of this model is its expanded aft deck, which offers a reimagined space by the water. The vessel’s exterior design is credited to Can Yalman Design studio, which has refined the construction initially seen on the Numarine 37XP model with the expertise of naval architect Umberto Tagliavini.

Design and Features of the Mediterranean Explorer

The Miouch departs from the 37XP’s design by replacing the beach club and garage with a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, providing immediate water access. This platform, measuring 8.04 meters, is complemented by a pool with a striking glass façade. The tender and water toys are now located on the second deck, which also includes a crane for their deployment and retrieval.

The 40MXP offers extensive outdoor spaces for al fresco enjoyment. Exterior lounges are situated in the cockpit, at the bow, and on the sundeck, where guests can sunbathe, dine, or host cocktail gatherings. The sundeck is equipped with a bar counter, enhancing its functionality for social events. Despite the vessel’s generous exterior, the interior remains spacious, with a displacement steel hull and an aluminum superstructure providing an internal volume of 499 GT.

Luxurious Living and Performance on the 40MXP

The Numarine 40MXP can host up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a master suite on the main deck and five additional cabins below. One of the VIP cabins is full-beam and offers the flexibility to be divided into a bedroom and a lounge. The main saloon, partially dedicated to dining, can transform into a summer veranda through sliding window sections, while the informal saloon on the second deck doubles as a cinema.

Powered by two diesel MAN D2868 LE425 engines, each producing 800 hp, the 40MXP reaches a top speed of 14 knots and cruises comfortably at 12 knots. With a fuel capacity of 51,000 liters, Miouch can travel up to 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots, making it ideal for extended voyages. The vessel’s design and performance underscore Numarine’s commitment to innovation and excellence in yacht construction.

The Numarine 40MXP, with its blend of innovative design and robust performance, sets a new standard in the explorer series. Miouch, as the first unit, exemplifies the brand’s dedication to creating vessels that offer both exploration capabilities and a refined lifestyle experience.
