Antonini Navi and Nauta unveil 63m Project Light concept for 500GT+ superyacht market

Antonini Navi and Nauta unveil Project Light 63M concept

Antonini Navi has disclosed Project Light 63M, a 63.5-metre concept developed in collaboration with Milan-based studio Nauta. The concept responds to a reported increase in owner and broker demand for yachts above the 500GT threshold and represents Antonini’s effort to move into that larger-volume market while drawing on external design expertise.

Nauta was selected for the project citing its extensive track record on high-profile superyachts. Naval architecture and structural engineering are by Arrabito Naval Architects, with Giovanni Arrabito overseeing the naval design. Mario Pedol, co‑founder of Nauta, said the studio accepted the commission with enthusiasm and noted Antonini’s entrepreneurial background and ongoing investment in facilities and skills.

Design and naval architecture emphasize flow and efficiency

The exterior is defined by continuous architectural lines, balanced proportions and a considered interplay of glazed and opaque surfaces. The design aims to maximise indoor–outdoor connectivity while maintaining the refined profile and volume expected at this size, with a beam of 10.9 metres and an internal volume of roughly 1,180GT.

Operational efficiency and discreet service circulation are explicit priorities. The arrangement provides crew direct access to lower‑deck guest cabins and includes service zones on every deck to minimise traffic through public spaces, supporting both guest privacy and efficient daily running of the yacht.

Interiors, amenities and privacy: beach club, terraces, gym

Interior concepting draws on a contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic, favouring natural materials, warm tonalities and light-coloured surfaces. The layout mixes integrated joinery with freestanding furniture to create adaptable living areas and to allow owners to personalise finishes and furnishings.

Amenity planning emphasises privacy and sea connection: the beach club with spa has two dedicated service entrances and can open on three sides for continuity with the water while preserving discreet access. The owner’s apartment and a VIP cabin each feature private outdoor terraces, and the gym occupies a panoramic location with natural light on three sides plus a skylight.

Project Light 63M positions Antonini for larger 500GT market

Antonini developed Project Light 63M after discussing market trends with brokers and owners that indicated a sharp increase in appetite for yachts over 500GT. The collaboration with Nauta — whose portfolio includes work on Lürssen’s Azzam (180.6 m) and Dragonfly (142.1 m), and the Feadship Zen (88.4 m) — is intended to bring proven large-yacht design experience to Antonini’s offering.

Antonini currently has two yachts nearing launch: the Seamore 34, the inaugural model in its semi‑custom steel and aluminium series, and the full‑custom EVO 31 commissioned by an experienced owner. Project Light 63M therefore functions as both a technical and commercial statement: it signals the yard’s intention to compete in larger-volume segments while offering a configurable platform for owners as the concept moves toward development and potential construction.
