Italian Shipyard Releases Interior Images Of Flagship Model After French Riviera Premiere
Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has released the first interior photographs of Silver Fox, its inaugural 74Steel superyacht, following the vessel’s recent debut on the French Riviera. Silver Fox recently hosted Alo Yoga’s high-profile wellness activation during the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix, demonstrating the yacht’s appeal to discerning charterers seeking luxury and innovation.
Measuring 72 metres with a beam of 13.1 metres, Silver Fox represents a collaborative effort between Sanlorenzo and design partners Zuccon International Project and Francesco Paszkowski Design, in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. A defining feature is the yacht’s diesel-electric propulsion system, engineered in-house with Siemens Energy. This innovative approach frees up technical spaces, allowing the designers to create significantly larger recreational areas, including an expansive beach club and spa that exceed those typically found on conventional yachts of comparable size.
At 1,800 gross tonnes, Silver Fox challenges the notion that size must equal excess. Sanlorenzo chairman and CEO Massimo Perotti emphasized the yard’s commitment to applying the same refinement and precision expected from the brand, even within this larger category. The owner’s cabin exemplifies this philosophy, featuring a dedicated deck with private hot tub, dining area, two spa-inspired bathrooms, lounge, and office. The main deck accommodates guests with lounge and dining areas alongside five spacious en suite cabins, while the sundeck serves as the social hub with a bar, firepit, Jacuzzi, and sunpads protected by a transparent glass windbreak.
Wellness takes centre stage with a dedicated area featuring a massage room, sauna, Hammam plunge pool, and family room for younger guests. Additional highlights include a touch-and-go helipad, formal dining on the main deck, two tender garages amidships housing a 10-metre Pascoe limo tender and crew tender, and a sports court with floodlights on the bow for pickleball, basketball, or football. A crew of 21, including a dedicated media team, ensures seamless service for up to 12 guests.
At its October 2025 launch, Perotti described the moment as pivotal for Sanlorenzo. “This is our most ambitious project, and it marks a new pinnacle in our steel range, but the 74Steel is more than just our largest yacht. It’s a statement of our values, representing elegance, restraint and the purity of living life at sea.” According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo currently has 73 superyacht projects on order or under construction. The shipyard recently celebrated the launch of Virtuosity, the second 74Steel yacht at 73 metres, now standing as the yard’s largest build to date.
