Custom Line Navetta 35 Begins Construction in Ancona

Italian Yard Advances New 34.5-Metre Displacement Yacht Project

The Italian shipyard Custom Line, part of the Ferretti Group, has commenced construction of its latest model, the Navetta 35, at its Ancona facility. This new 34.5-metre displacement yacht represents a significant addition to the brandโ€™s lineup, designed to reinforce its presence in the under-270 GT segment of luxury displacement yachts. The project is distinguished by a sleek and muscular exterior penned by Filippo Salvetti, who collaborated closely with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The design language evokes a sporty aesthetic inspired by the automotive world, combining refined minimalism with dynamic forms.

The Navetta 35 is tailored to maximize usable volume and customization options, even as a production model. Measuring 34.5 metres in length with a beam of 7.7 metres, the yacht offers over 300 square meters of combined indoor and outdoor living space spread across three decks. The expansive sundeck, covering 58 square meters, includes a sunbathing area and a jacuzzi, with an optional pool. A hardtop provides shaded space for a lounge or sky bar, enhancing the social atmosphere on board. The upper deck features a panoramic lounge of 44 square meters, a dining area for ten guests, and a seamlessly connected enclosed saloon, flowing forward into a bow lounging area. The cockpit aft continues with a sofa that opens onto the swim platform. Notably, the external staircase on the main deck aft has been relocated to the starboard side and cleverly concealed behind a reflective surface, creating a bright and spacious hallway leading to the master suite at the bow.

Accommodation is designed for ten guests in five cabins, including a master suite and four additional cabins below deck, one of which features a Pullman bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. The interiors, crafted by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel of ACPV Architects, will be available in three distinct moods. The Contrast Chocolate Mood combines dark brown leather, bone-china lacquer, and Grigio Alpi stone for an intense, structured elegance. The Contrast Oyster Mood offers a timeless, understated palette of pale woods, dark leather, and tone-on-tone fabrics. The Light Mood embraces an airy, natural aesthetic with ivory, beige, caramel tones, and three-dimensional white lacquered wood paneling.

Powering the Navetta 35 are twin MAN V12 engines delivering 1,400 hp each, enabling an economical cruising range of up to 1,800 nautical miles. An optional configuration includes twin CAT C32 engines rated at 1,622 hp apiece, providing a top speed of 16 knots. The yachtโ€™s propulsion system is prepared for the installation of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system, which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by 70%, ensuring compliance with IMO Tier III environmental regulations. Additional technical features include a stern garage on the lower deck, capable of housing a tender up to 5 metres long and a jet ski, enhancing the yachtโ€™s versatility for water activities.
