Turkish Owner Takes Delivery Of 33.9-Metre Motor Yacht
Italian shipyard Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has launched the second unit in its Mangusta Gransport 34 series at its Viareggio facility. The 33.9-metre yacht hit the water on 25 June in the presence of her owner, family members and shipyard staff, marking another significant milestone for the builder just over two months after the first hull in the series was launched. Sold to an experienced Turkish owner in late 2025, the yacht was acquired through Mangusta’s Turkish sales representative, BTWO Marine. The rapid succession of launches demonstrates strong market demand for the model, which combines the styling and performance characteristics of the Gransport range with the volume and accommodation typically associated with larger yachts.
Developed as an evolution of the Mangusta Gransport 33, the model was penned by Alberto Mancini in collaboration with Overmarine’s in-house engineering team. The design features a streamlined profile and a strong emphasis on connecting interior and exterior living spaces, creating a contemporary aesthetic that appeals to discerning owners seeking both style and substance. Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests across five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck measuring approximately 40 square metres. Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, alongside accommodation for up to six crew in three cabins.
According to the shipyard, the model was selected by its owner for its combination of sporty performance, generous onboard volumes and contemporary design. Power comes from four 1,000hp Volvo Penta engines paired with the Swedish manufacturer’s IPS propulsion system. The setup delivers a reported top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots, while also offering improved manoeuvrability, reduced fuel consumption and lower noise levels compared to conventional propulsion systems.
The launch marks another milestone for the Italian builder, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025. The Mangusta Gransport range sits alongside the yard’s Maxi Open REV and Oceano series, offering owners a diverse portfolio of options. According to BOATPro, Overmarine Group has 24 yachts currently on order or under construction, indicating sustained momentum in the superyacht market and continued confidence in the builder’s design and engineering capabilities.
