Jonny’s Quest has been well maintained and you will be overwhelmed by the numerous upgrades that have been made to this vessel.
With a 2 stateroom layout, huge salon, and galley aft, Jonny’s Quest is the preferred configuration Tiara built in 1999. The forward Master Stateroom has a center island berth with a 20″ x 20″ escape hatch overhead. Just aft of the Master is a hanging locker to starboard with an enclosed head to port with separate shower. The Salon is aft of the Master which has port and starboard settees. In the aft part of the cabin, the galley is to starboard and the guest state room with convertible twin beds and head are to starboard. Between the Galley and Guest Stateroom is access to the cabin with only five steps up to helm deck. Helm is to starboard, with companion seating to port. Two steps lead down to the cockpit area which has seating and port and starboard transom doors leading out to the large swim platform which also holds a dinghy. The TV’s and receivers are 12 volt so they run without the generator so you can watch TV without the hum of the generator in the background when it is cool and air conditioning is not needed. Jonny’s Quest is equipped to provide the most comfortable accommodations for your perfect weekend get away!.

12091347 Additional Equipment and Notable Upgrades
The Salon a/c was replaced 10/2014 and the starboard exhaust (at engine) was replaced 11/2014. Repairs have always been addressed quickly and properly, eliminating the need for a lengthy punch list of repairs.
The automatic shore power to generator option was removed and replaced with a manual switch, eliminating the issues associated with the automatic switching system.

- In August of 2008, the port engine suffered a failure, as a result of a known CAT defect with the engines after cooler on this model engine. The failure of the after cooler caused the ingestion of raw water into the motor. The port motor went through a complete rebuild by Pereira Diesel in Miami FL. Through the investigation to determine the cause of the port motor failure, the starboard motor was also inspected, it was determined the after cooler was likely to suffer a similar failure which caused the owner to replace the after cooler on the starboard motor in an effort to prevent starboard motor suffering similar fate of the port motor. At that time the hour meters report approximately 1850, the port engine failure occurred at approximately 1700 hours. At the time of the port motor being rebuilt the after coolers were changed to a new CAT upgraded after cooler, in addition and subsequent to the August 2008 event the turbo chargers on both engines have been replaced. The port motor had approximately 200 hours and the starboard motor had approximately 1850 hours.
