Description


This is a Cheoy Lee 55 motor yacht was extended to a 67. The aft extension was added in 1985 by Bradford Marine in Ft Lauderdale, it was supervised by Charles Wittholz. Charles Wittholz was the original designer for this Cheoy Lee model. This extension gave approximately 1000 extra gallons of fuel enabling this vessel to be a trans-Atlantic. 
The owners health prohibited him from finishing this project and he has over 200K with improvements and repairs.
This vessel is mechanically redone with many upgraded, see list below:

Design / Build new fuel transfer and filtration system. Pumps from and to any tank. Also incorporated gravity feed from 4 tanks to the belly (1400) day tank. All tanks and pumps connected in ½? soft continuous copper.
Fit new led 110vac strip lights to engine room ( now like daylight in there)/
Refasten sound insulation.
Fit new battery charger for engine and generator batteries.
Fit new battery voltage meters.
Upgrade exhaust insulation to lower engine room temps.
Fit 2 new blower intake fans to supply cooler ambient air to the engines and generators.
Fit new engine room extractor fan to remove warmer air by engine room deckhead.
Fit new kus sender units to all tankage 5 fuel 1 holding tank and and main fresh water tank.
Extensive removal of redundant wiring and replacing new.

Flybridge
Install 4 solar panels (1.4kw) giving up to 70amps @60+ volts dc. Along with a midnite solar controller.
Install relevant wiring for the solar. All wiring at max gauge 4/0 for batteries for example.
Remove old teak from the flybridge area, vacuum the area for moisture. Drilled the fastener holes and filled with penetrating epoxy. Redrilled when cured again and installed epoxy saturated bungs in the holes and prime.

Fit extra supports and braces to the flybridge top to stiffen the structure.
Move aft sternrail to the back of the flybridge deck. Gained 300+ sqft of deck space.
Fitted new mast and deck floodlights, and navigation lights etc.

Main Deck
Enclose rear deck with lexan panels.
Fit new side deck lighting.
Fit new rubbing bands were required around 50ft of it.
New floors fitted reaching under the tanks and sole fitted in cockpit
New mast fitted
Cockpit lockers rebuilt with new beams and cockpit floor

Hull
Removed “A” brackets and fitted new cutlasses
Propellors, balanced and retuned.
New rudder arm / yoke stbd rudder.
Lots of bilge painting.
Fishing cockpit
Removed cockpit lockers. Took up sole and replaced deck beams. Glassed deck and rebuilt lockers. Center locker now for service / solar batteries.
Fit new electric panel in port locker.
Install lazarette lighting
Install new bilge pumps (4), floats wiring etc.
Sister both fuel tank beams.
Build new floor between the tanks.
Refasten the swim platform.
Aft Cabin
Remove head lining in areas install new aircon plumbing , install new air con. Along with wiring etc.
Remove aft deck cleats and rebed.
Remove renovate port lights.
Remove existing hull sealing and deckhead via portlights and rebuild fit with GRP liner.
Pull up floor install new shower sump pump. Paint area
Thread 4/0 solar battery cabling from fishing cockpit locker to engine room.
Fit new rudder yoke. Service steering, paint area.
Replace grey water tank pump in aft cabin locker. Spare in situ as well.
Fit new float switch in grey water tank.

Aft head
Rip out old cabinet work.
Rebuild / upgrade port engine exhaust. Fit new cabinetry and sink , taps etc.

Galley
New taps
Remove old dishwasher and fit drawers
Fitted new cooktop / galley exhaust
Fitted new microwave

Saloon
Fitted new TV , antenna, Cabling, attenuator / tuner

Air conditioner
Fitted 5 new marineair units with wiring, pumps cabling and hoses. Requires an extra seacock when next hauled.

General
Huge amount of tools, spares and equipment.

Both engines have had a major rebuild, although this work was done in 2006 by the previous owner they have only done 300+ hrs since. They were removed from vessel for bare block overhaul. Both engines bored out .020 and oversize pistons fitted. Also new piston rings, bearings and recondition rods Crankshafts ground and +010? bearings fitted on rods and mains. Cylinder heads were reconditioned and resurfaced with new valves and guides etc. All hoses were replaced and all ancillary equipment overhauled or replaced. Props are 4 blade 23×32 bronze.
The Both Twin disc transmission were removed and sent away and rebuilt with a 2.96 to 1 ratio. Also at this time the onan generators were replaced with new Powertech 10kw & 17.5kw again these have hardly been used and only done over 300 hrs. 
The vessel primarily need a paint job, some cosmetic work and your personal touches.
