Description
The Hatteras 58 Long Range Cruiser (LRC) was introduced in the late 1970s as part of the Hatteras Yachts lineup, designed for long-distance cruising and comfort. It features a sturdy fiberglass hull, a spacious interior layout, and efficient fuel consumption, making it popular among cruising enthusiasts. The design incorporated a distinctive profile with a raised bridge, enhancing both aesthetics and visibility while underway. Built with quality craftsmanship, the Hatteras 58 LRC gained a reputation for durability and reliability in various sea conditions. The Hatteras 58 LRC is largely considered to be a pioneer in transoceanic pleasure trawlers. Over the years, it has remained a sought-after model in the used yacht market, celebrated for its blend of luxury and long-range capability. Skooch is considered one of the rarest and most desirable of the 58 LRC’s due to the rare combination of Detroit Diesel 6-71N engines (standard was the 4-71N), and the addition of a day head adjacent to the galley and within a couple steps of the pilothouse.
