Description
Looking for a live-@-board, cruising vessel, weekend getaway or travel the Great Loop, look no further, Called Away is the answer to your needs. The best-selling yacht in her class for several years, the 530 Voyager was the flagship of the Carver fleet when she was introduced in 1998. Her classic pilothouse lines will always be in style, and the Voyager’s spacious interior ranks with the most comfortable cruising yachts.
The entry to the salon is through a substantial curved glass sliding door which is framed in polished stainless steel.
The main salon, is an open, inviting space, surrounded by glass, with six feet, 11 inches of headroom. An L-shaped lounge, running along the starboard side and aft, includes an integral seat with a footrest. Forward, to port, in the salon is a galley comprised of a U-shaped countertop which provides ample work space and holds a complete selection of appliances, including a Princess three-burner stove, 2 new stainless steel refrigerators, a new GE microwave and a double sink. The galley and salon areas of this boat are newly painted.
The pilothouse is forward of the main salon and provides an extension of its open space. The same wood and leather interior trim is carried throughout this area. Another L-shaped seating area runs along the port side and aft bulkhead. Visibility is nearly 360 degrees. The focal point of the pilothouse is an Ultra-leather electrically adjustable captain’s seat.
A gently curved companionway leads you forward from the pilothouse to the stateroom area below.
Doorways to the compartments have a slight arch at the top. Wood trim and casings soften the look of any right angles, along with breaking up open expanses. Even the air conditioning ducts are done in wood molding, not metal.
The guest stateroom features a queen-size berth. A second head is accessible directly from it or the companionway and the third guest stateroom. Third stateroom is configured with a pair of bunk berths.
The master stateroom is roomy, yet cozy and comfortable for two people. There’s a queen-size berth edged by two nightstands. A large, five drawer dresser, plus two floor-to-ceiling hanging lockers, provide storage for the needs of a live aboard or extended cruising. A pair of doors along the aft bulkhead contain a washer and a dryer.
A niche to one side of the master stateroom holds a cabinet with a wash basin. To either side of it, at a slight angle, are wood doors with full-length frosted glass inserts. Behind one is the head, the other, the shower stall.
On the upper deck, abaft of the helm station, is a circular lounge area that can easily accommodate eight or more adults. The area is shaded by a retractable Bimini top and is enclosed in isinglass. To starboard side is a wet bar and a refrigerator.
A Marquipt davit Located outside and aft of the enclosed flybridge is designed to blend in with the lines of the back of the seating area, to be unobtrusive until it’s needed.
At the control center of the 530 Voyager, whether on the command bridge or in the pilothouse, everything is readily accessible. Everything is positioned for easy reach and readability, from basic on/off switches to the Garmin and Raymarine electronics package.
The engine room is equipped with twin Volvo Penta TAMD 122P-B, 620 HP engines, ZF transmissions and a Kohler
13.5 KW generator. There is ample room to access all mechanical systems.
