New Listing – Exceptional Mechanical Condition
Assumable Moorage
Sunbreak is just back from a summer of cruising British Columbia’s Inside Passage and is ready for her next voyage. Her owners are moving on to new adventures after 14 wonderful years cruising many times as far as SE Alaska, northern BC and more. She is well equipped and maintained, and has been continuously updated with a focus on reliability so that she can be counted on to handle the contingencies of remote cruising—a specific passion of these owners. Recently hauled and surveyed by Aaron Bandstra, Sunbreak was attended to before this summer’s trip with the recommended updates and fresh bottom paint. Her mechanical condition is excellent.
Kadey-Krogen manufactured 206 of these popular long-range, liveaboard, trawler yachts. Sunbreak is hull number 66. She is a full walk-around model with covered side decks and a wonderful “back porch” cockpit that is perfect for sundowners after a day of adventure.
The foredeck offers a bench seat with storage underneath, a teak deck and bowsprit with double roller and redundant over-sized ground tackle. The heavy-duty handrails ensure crew can meet the sea head on in safety and security. The pilot house is accessed via Dutch doors that make moving around, and proper ventilation a… breeze. The covered teak aft deck, also known as the cockpit, offers accessible outdoor space. The spacious, expansive nonskid boat deck off the flying bridge has a 10-foot AB aluminum-hulled tender with 20 Hp Honda outboard and a crane for launching. Topping off the boat deck is an efficient mast and loading boom, and a steering station with a bimini.
Enter the cabin from the aft deck via French doors. Ceilings throughout are molded fiberglass liners with teak-capped rails – simply beautiful. To starboard is a Dickinson diesel stove. Completing the seating area is a built-in settee with storage behind and beneath, plus space for your favorite seating and a table for dining or projects. Forward is a bookcase and storage cabinets with louvered teak doors.
Access to her engine room is forward in the salon below the salon floor. The galley features a three burner propane stove with oven and an under-stove drawer, microwave, stainless double sink and custom cold-plate refrigerator/freezer that offers tremendous efficiency and space.
Just to the port side of the center line is the companionway forward. The guest stateroom to starboard can readily lead a double life as a cozy office or study with computer station, bookshelves sofa/bed with drawers underneath. The stateroom also features a storage cabinet and built-in closet. A pullman berth lowers from the bulkhead to sleep a second guest. To the port side of the companionway is the Splendide washer/dryer combo behind louvered doors with a storage cabinet above. Forward on the port side is the head, separate shower stall and electric marine head.
The master suite features built-in storage space: closets, cabinets, vanity, under-berth drawers and a wonderful queen mattress.
