Description

“DreamCatcher” is a 1991 Gibson 36 Standard Dual-Helmed Pilothouse Houseboat powered with twin 220hp Crusader 305 V8 engines with only 300 hours and a 7.5kW Kohler Generator with low hours as well. Worth noting is that these engines have the highly-desirable V-Drive transmissions, so are true-inboards with shafts; unlike many other previous models with outdrives.  She is currently berthed in a well-maintained and well-managed Baltimore Northwest Harbor marina in a floating 45×17′ slip with a Co-Op Membership also for sale by the Seller for a below-market Asking Price of $23,900.

This model features an interior that is well-suited to being a liveaboard or floating vacation home, with 3 separate sleeping areas, including a master Queen berth below the forward helm and salon area, a well-equipped Galley with a refrigerator/freezer, 3-Burner Propane Stove with Oven, electric hot-plate, double SS Sinks, a Microwave, Coffee-Maker, and plenty of storage and Formica-covered counter-space above and below the countertop.

This 36 ft. Gibson also boasts a spacious bathroom with a separate shower stall, vanity, sink, storage cabinets, and electric toilet, as well as a convertible dinette aft that seats 6, a convertible sofa aft and another sofa forward opposite the lower Pilothouse helm with a small coffee table. Sliding Glass windows and a portable floor-model A/C system provide plenty of ventilation and all windows, have attractive curtains that provide privacy at night. Two 12V Batteries and a 10A Xantrex Battery charger are located aft in the dinette area and the vessel has two 30A Shore-Power Inlets with Shore-Power Cables.

The forward deck has a large SS BBQ propane Grill and there is a large storage locker below the deck with a Bruce-Style Anchor and a Danforth Anchor, each with chain and nylon anchor rodes, plus additional lines. Sliding glass doors from the Starboard side deck with aluminum rails outboard all around the decks, provide access to the Pilothouse helm, and access to the dinette area from the Aft Deck, where a large Deck Hatch provides excellent access to the engine room below. A ladder from the aft deck provides access to the mid-level spacious deck with an aluminum rail on three sides, and the Upper Helm all the way forward with two upholstered back-to-back upholstered vinyl seats and additional seating on the raised A/C system with vinyl-covered cushions that are stored below. The Flybridge Aft Deck has plenty of room for chaise lounge chairs and many folding chairs. The Flybridge Helm area is covered with a Burgundy Sunbrella Bimini with aluminum folding frame and Bimini Sunbrella storage Boot that are stored below along with a Todd Swivel Vinyl Upholstered Helm Seat and these items appear to be in very good condition. Both helms have full engine instrumentation.

Although owned and enjoyed by the Seller since 1997, this Gibson 36 Standard Houseboat 1991, has not been used much in the last 8 years (approximate) when the engines, generator, and plumbing systems were winterized; but not re-commissioned since that time. Photos of the engine room equipment and systems, showing very little and normal exterior corrosion, are current and the Seller reports that these systems were in good operational condition prior to being winterized.
