Description
Osprey has recently undergone work allowing a buyer to come in and start cruising day one. She is a pilothouse trawler manufactured by the Taiwan boat builder C&L. The Sea Rangers were built from 1980-1989. Osprey has twin 124hp Volvo Penta TMD-40 engines.
The Sea Ranger 47 was built on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with a relatively narrow beam, flat aftersections, and a full-length prop-protected keel.
Osprey features 6′ 5″ headroom in the two-stateroom layout with an island queen berth master cabin in the bow. Just aft is the dry head with large bathtub. Directly to port from the head is the second cabin with twin bunks.
Directly aft is the engine room with great headroom and the pilothouse directly above. There is a staircase in the pilothouse to the flybridge and out on the aft deck is a large 13-ft livingston dinghy with 3 lockers, one of which is a designated propane locker (2 – 20lb propane tanks).
Back downstairs there is a large and comfortable salon with a connecting galley and day head to starboard of the galley.
Osprey will cruise at 7-8 knots and has a top speed of around 10 knots. She has an air draft of 20′ 7″
