Titan Marine in San Diego put together a team to design and build a new class of luxury boats. The team embarked on a mission to build a highly-competitive boat for offshore tournament fishing. Combining luxury and comfort, the boat would offer speed and stability suitable for fishing for Marlin, swordfish, sailfish, or tuna. It would be suitable for fishing in all Pacific and Atlantic coastal waters, with the speed to serve East Coast fishing plus the large bait tank capacity, fish-holding freezer, and anchoring system necessary for West Coast operations. High quality would be the signature of this new class structure, electronics, accommodations, fishing gear, and all other aspects of the design and function. The first of the class of competitive offshore fishing yachts is “TITAN 1”.
