Over $200,000.00 invested by its owner plus his skills and time on this customized classic 1969 Hatteras 41 Convertible Sportfish Flybridge. She is powered by well maintained and dependable twin 853 Detroit Diesels. A rebuilt Kubota 8 KW generator supplies the power while underway or at anchor. The shafts were trued with new cutlass bearings and new packing. The struts were aligned. All the thru hull ball valves were replaced. The bottom was planned and epoxy barrier coat was applied. She features new Awlgrip paint, Fighting Lady Yellow/Snow white topsides. All portholes were glassed in.
The salon is open with mahogany woodwork and features a new mahogany floor with additional hatches added for ease of maintenance on the power systems. The forward windows were removed and glassed in leaving the lower station minus the steering wheel for starting and monitoring engine performance. Also the sun visor was shaved. Tear drop windows were added port and starboard replacing the original windows. A customized bulkhead was built featuring new salon doors with impact windows.
The guest stateroom is to port with upper and lower bunks. The galley is starboard with the master stateroom is forward featuring 2 bunks with storage below and ample hanging lockers. The head is large and has a new toilet with all new plumbing and waste system.
The flybridge has a centerline helm station with storage below and an adjustable captain’s chair. Guest seating is to port of the helm. The bimini top is new with a custom welded aluminum half tower and spreader lights. The helm features a JRC open array radar, Simrad autopilot, Azimuth compass, Raymarine GPS and a Raymarine VHF radio. Flybridge has been glassed down to the cabin and a new ladder was recessed in the flybridge deck.
The fore deck features a new one-piece custom welded aluminum bow rail with the addition of a new molded fiberglass pulpit. Three new Bomar hatches on the deck add light and air for below.
