Description
"Magnum Ride" is a 2003 Hatteras 100 Raised Pilothouse from the builder's Elite Series, a 100-foot motor yacht known for an exceptionally soft ride and generous full-beam accommodations. Powered by twin MTU 16V2000's, this 100-foot Hatteras carries 5125 gallons of fuel for a cruising range of roughly 1000 nautical miles at a 20-knot cruise. What sets this Hatteras 100 apart is the depth of her 2021–2023 refit, which touched the interior, mechanical systems, electronics, safety equipment, and tender package in a single coordinated effort.
The Refit
The interior was rebuilt from the soft goods up: new sculpted carpet throughout, all new mattresses, custom designer bedding, marble table surfaces, refreshed salon furniture, and a fully remodeled day head. The galley was reworked with a free-standing teak table, new Whirlpool dishwasher, microwave, and a designer dining table for eight. Crew quarters gained new flooring, a new washer and dryer, and an additional cabin.
Mechanically, both mains received full 3,000-hour services in March 2022. Both generators were fully serviced with new water and fuel pumps. Naiad stabilizers, rudders, and cutlass bearings were all dropped and rebuilt at the January 2022 haulout, along with new hydraulic steering lines, prop service, Propspeed, and fresh bottom paint. Both water makers were fully overhauled, fuel was polished and tanks cleaned, and the boat received new 8D house batteries, three new AquaAir chillers, two new Raritan ice makers, and added AC in the bridge and aft cockpit.
The electronics suite is essentially new. The helm runs a full Garmin glass bridge, six MFDs (two 8618s, two 8616s, two 8612s), 6-foot and 4-foot HD radars, FLIR thermal camera, and AIS paired with a Simrad NAC-3 autopilot, dual AP44 displays, and a Simrad V5035 Class A AIS. Connectivity is built around a Pepwave dual-SIM router, Aigean booster, Starlink, and vessel-wide Wi-Fi. Lutron lighting and Hatteras monitoring were both updated. New Blazer underwater lights were added port and starboard.
The safety locker is current and complete: new GMDSS radio, Iridium sat phone, SART, twelve immersion suits, three Revere 8-person life rafts, full firefighting ensemble with SCBA, Generac crash pump, AED, and MSOS Class C medical bag.
