Introduced in the 1980s, the 38 Top Gun quickly became a flagship for Cigarette Racing—thanks to its ideal length and balance of handling and ride comfort. Its long, narrow hull slices through open water with ease while remaining agile and fun to pilot. With a trailer-friendly 8’ beam, this boat blends offshore muscle with transport practicality.

Powered by precision: beneath the deck, twin Mercury Racing HP700-EFI engines provide serious thrust—each professionally rebuilt from top to bottom in 2024 by Saris Performance Marine and retrofitted with Whipple superchargers for a staggering 700 hp apiece. With just 20 hours of post-rebuild run time, these motors are tuned for years of spirited, worry-free boating. Out back, the Integrated Transom System enhances control and stability via hydraulic steering rams and extension boxes—allowing for higher drive placement and reduced drag. In short: it’s engineered for precision at speed.

The helm deck seating is designed for comfort and support. Aft is the double front facing seat for your guests and forward is the Helm and companion seats. For the Captain all the controls are at an easy reach and very visible. The mate also has redundant gauges to keep an eye on the performance levels. 

Below you have amenities to spend a weekend away at a favorite destination. A seating area with a table for a quick bite to eat, and a sink wo wash up after. A single head toilet. Forward in the bow is a full tapered berth and ample lighting throughout.
