Lürssen Launches 102.4m RWD-Designed Superyacht Jassi

The Highly Anticipated Project Jassj Hits the Water with RWD Design

German shipyard Lürssen has successfully launched the 102.4-meter superyacht Jassi, formerly known as Project Jassj, from its facility in Rendsburg. This marks a significant milestone for the vessel, which first entered the water during a technical launch in December 2023. Now fully assembled and revealing her final profile, Jassi displays a sophisticated grey hull accented by a sharp black boot stripe and a traditional flared bow. The launch signals the final phase of construction before she embarks on extensive sea trials in the North Sea.

The project has been overseen by Moran Yacht & Ship, who not only negotiated the sale but also wrote the technical specifications and managed the entire build process. The brokerage firm described the launch as a landmark achievement, highlighting their deep involvement in negotiating the interior costs and selecting the tender packages. Jassi is one of several 100-meter-plus vessels currently under construction at Lürssen, reinforcing the yard’s dominance in the gigayacht sector.

Visually, Jassi is defined by her elegant lines and extensive use of curved glass, a signature of the British design studio RWD. The studio is responsible for both the exterior styling and the interior spaces, ensuring a cohesive design language throughout the vessel. Early observations reveal a foredeck helipad and expansive open-air decks, suggesting a focus on outdoor living and entertainment. With a volume of 3,420 GT, she offers immense interior space while maintaining a sleek, proportionate silhouette.

As Jassi prepares for delivery later in 2026, she joins an exclusive fleet of Lürssen giants. Her launch comes shortly after the shipyard began sea trials for the 110-meter Project O3, creating a busy season for the German builder. Once delivered, Jassi will accommodate up to 22 guests in 11 staterooms, supported by a crew of 37, offering a level of luxury and service reserved for the world’s finest superyachts.
